Hanmi Science Completes Merger with Hanmi Healthcare

[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Hanmi Science, the holding company of Hanmi Pharm Group, announced on the 2nd that its board of directors resolved to complete the merger with its affiliate Hanmi Healthcare on the 1st.

Hanmi Science had resolved to pursue a small-scale merger with Hanmi Healthcare at the board meeting on September 23. Since then, it has been proceeding with the process of merging all business divisions and personnel of Hanmi Healthcare. With this board resolution, all merger procedures have been finalized.

Through this merger, Hanmi Science plans to actively expand businesses to enhance future value by acquiring the core business divisions of Hanmi Healthcare. Hanmi Science intends to advance Hanmi Healthcare’s four major business areas: ▲Food ▲Medical Devices ▲IT Solutions ▲Consumer Platforms.

A Hanmi Science official stated, “The merger was carried out with the purpose of leading the rapidly changing global healthcare market, enhancing group management capabilities as a holding company to establish new growth engines, and practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management through simplification of the governance structure.” He added, “As a holding company, we will do our best to enhance the future competitiveness of Hanmi Pharm Group and increase shareholder value.”
