Ministry of Culture Holds 'International Copyright Technology Conference'
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Copyright Commission, and the Korea Copyright Protection Agency will hold the 'International Copyright Technology Conference' on the morning of the 2nd at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. It is a venue to discuss copyright technology and current issues and to consider related policy directions. Under the theme of 'Technical Challenges for the Popularization of Copyright Technology,' experts from various domestic and international fields will share changes and trends in copyright technology. They will also explore cases of copyright infringement in K-content and solutions. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized, "Recently, cases of copyright infringement in K-content have surged, and there is a need to pay attention to copyright technology that can address this."
The keynote presentations will be delivered by Professor Kim Dae-sik of KAIST and Stella Griffiths, Chair of the International Organization for Standardization. They will discuss 'Humanity in the Era of Zero Marginal Cost of Content' and 'Usage Status of Identifiers and Standards for Copyright Management,' respectively.
The following sessions will be filled with presentations on 'Copyright Technology for Everyone' and 'New Paradigms of Copyright Services.' Participants include Professor Nam Joo-han of KAIST, Oliver Wilsey, TikTok Asia-Pacific Intellectual Property Operations Manager, Bill Rosenbluth, Media Technology Strategist at Giant Steps, Kim Hak-hee, Head of the Korea Literature and Arts Copyright Association, Associate Professor Kim Ji-yoon of Hongik University, Kim Kwang-il, Vice President of Clover Virtual Fashion, Yoon Kyung-gu, Executive Director of Fasoo, Kim Tan-hyu, Strategy Director of Creators, Kang Tae-jin, CEO of Conist, and Park Jong-oh, CEO of Little Song Music.
