[eGongsi Notice] KakaoPay, 3Q Operating Loss of 9.7 Billion KRW...Widening Deficit, etc. (Comprehensive)

[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] Kakao Pay announced on the 1st that its consolidated operating loss for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 9.69 billion KRW. This represents an increased deficit compared to the same period last year.


The net loss for the period also increased to 4.653 billion KRW compared to the same period last year. Sales revenue rose by 23% year-on-year to 141.37 billion KRW.


Below are Kakao Pay’s disclosures along with other major disclosures released this afternoon.



▲F&F = The consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 138.44 billion KRW, up 44.6% compared to the same period last year. Sales revenue for the same period increased by 34.3% to 441.682 billion KRW.


▲Green Cross = The consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 48.8 billion KRW, down 31.7% compared to the same period last year. Sales revenue for the same period decreased by 1.3% to 459.7 billion KRW.


▲Ssangyong Motor = Tentatively estimated to have sold 13,156 vehicles in October. This is a 177% increase compared to the same period last year.


▲Hyundai Motor = Tentatively estimated total sales of 2,693,802 vehicles in October. This is a 0.4% increase compared to the same period last year.


▲Kia = Tentatively estimated total sales of 2,410,246 vehicles in October. This is a 2.6% increase compared to the same period last year.


▲Hanmi Pharmaceutical = The consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 46.84 billion KRW, up 26.9% compared to the same period last year. Sales revenue for the same period increased by 12.9% to 342.149 billion KRW.


▲Hanmi Science = The consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was 16.854 billion KRW, down 9% compared to the same period last year. Sales revenue for the same period increased by 6.6% to 251.894 billion KRW.


▲United = The operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 12.533 billion KRW, up 45.7% compared to the same period last year. Sales revenue for the same period increased by 15.1% to 65.758 billion KRW.


▲Doosan Enerbility = The consolidated sales revenue for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 314.569 billion KRW, up 40.72% compared to the same period last year. Sales revenue for the same period increased by 35.17% to 3.9603 trillion KRW.


▲Contentree Joongang = Acquired 100% stake in Playtime Group Co., Ltd., an entertainment facility operator, and incorporated it as a subsidiary.



▲GC Cell = The consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 8.138 billion KRW, down 21.3% compared to the same period last year.


▲Green Cross Wellbeing = The operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 2.9 billion KRW, down 17.8% compared to the same period last year.


▲Green Cross MS = The consolidated operating loss for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 1.186 billion KRW, down 60.4% compared to the same period last year.


▲HB Solution = Signed an equipment supply contract worth 14.5 billion KRW with Samsung Display.


▲WINS = The consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively estimated at 3.973 billion KRW, up 4.4% compared to the same period last year.


▲Jetema = Confirmed to have sold 'Jetema Dertoxin Injection 100 IU,' which was approved for export only, domestically without national shipment approval, resulting in a recall, disposal, and a temporary manufacturing suspension order. The company plans to file a cancellation lawsuit and request a suspension of execution.
