[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seung-jin] The Personal Information Protection Commission and the Korea Internet & Security Agency announced on the 1st that they will conduct intensive monitoring of personal information infringement situations throughout November in relation to the Itaewon incident that occurred on the 29th of last month.


The Personal Information Protection Commission plans to block and delete any discovered infringements such as personal information exposure through hotlines of 12 major service providers including Naver, Kakao, and Google based on the monitoring results.


Additionally, any violations of the Personal Information Protection Act identified during the monitoring will be referred to the National Police Agency for investigation.
