Chong Kun Dang, 3Q Sales 380.7 Billion Won... Early Achievement of '1 Trillion Won' Sales Target

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Chong Kun Dang announced on the 28th that its provisional operating results for the third quarter of this year showed sales of 380.687 billion KRW, operating profit of 39.658 billion KRW, and net profit of 29.210 billion KRW. These figures represent increases of 11.6%, 7.1%, and 2193.9% respectively compared to the same period last year.

For the cumulative results this year, sales reached 1.083482 trillion KRW, achieving the milestone of '1 trillion KRW in sales' within just three quarters. However, cumulative operating profit decreased by 1.1% to 92.091 billion KRW. Net profit grew by 75.7% to 70.873 billion KRW.

A Chong Kun Dang official explained, "Overall sales growth led to increases in sales and operating profit," adding, "The sharp rise in net profit in the third quarter is a base effect resulting from additional corporate tax payments made last year."
