[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] GS Engineering & Construction is introducing a large-scale Xi apartment complex with over 2,800 households in Seoul.

GS Engineering & Construction announced on the 28th that it plans to launch sales next month for Jangwi Xi Radiant, located in 62-1 Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.

This complex redevelops Jangwi 4 District within the Jangwi Redevelopment Promotion Zone (Jangwi New Town). It consists of 31 buildings ranging from 3 basement floors to a maximum of 31 floors above ground, totaling 2,840 households. Among these, 1,330 units with exclusive areas ranging from 49 to 97㎡ will be available for general sale. By exclusive area, there are ▲122 units of 49㎡ ▲266 units of 59㎡ ▲354 units of 72㎡ ▲573 units of 84㎡ ▲15 units of 97㎡.

Jangwi New Town is a large-scale residential complex undergoing redevelopment divided into a total of 15 districts. Once completed, it is expected to become an emerging residential town with approximately 27,000 households. Jangwi Xi Radiant is conveniently located within walking distance of Dolgoti Station on Subway Line 6. Access to the complex is easy via Hancheon-ro and Bukbu Expressway. It is also close to Dongbu Expressway and the Internal Circulation Road. Nearby, the metropolitan area express railway (GTX) Line C and the Dongbuk Line are also planned.

Nearby schools include Jangwi Elementary School, Namdaemun Middle School, Seokgwan Middle School, and Seokgwan High School. Universities such as Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Korea National University of Arts are also concentrated in the area. Residents can also access E-Mart, E-Mart Traders, Hyundai Department Store, CGV, and Kyung Hee University Hospital. The Jungnangcheon Stream flows to the east of the complex, providing connected walking trails.

GS Engineering & Construction arranged the complex mainly facing south and designed it primarily with slab-type buildings to allow good ventilation. The community facility 'Club Xi-an' will also be established. The air purification system 'Sysclean,' developed by GS Engineering & Construction, will be offered as a paid option. District heating is applied, and the complex has received preliminary certification as a zero-energy building to reduce maintenance costs.

A GS Engineering & Construction sales official said, "We will differentiate the complex through specialized designs such as landscaping and community facilities to become a landmark representing the area." Move-in is scheduled for March 2025.
