Pohang City to Host Architecture Culture Festival After 4 Years Under the Theme "Hopeful Pohang Through Architecture"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang City will hold the "3rd Pohang City Architecture Culture Festival" for two days from November 4th to 5th at the Lifelong Learning Center in collaboration with the Architects Association.

This event is being held for the first time in four years since the 2nd Architecture Culture Festival in 2018, due to the prevention of local infections caused by the spread of COVID-19, and will be conducted through exhibitions, hands-on events, and lectures.

During the event period, the gallery "Kkum-eul Damda" will host exhibitions of entries for the Architecture Culture Award, Urban Architecture Competition, Outdoor Advertising Design Competition, graduation projects from the Department of Spatial Environment Systems Engineering at Handong Global University, and graduation projects from the Design Contents Department at Pohang Women's Electronics High School.

On November 5th, a "Citizen Architecture Academy" with the theme "Architectural Feng Shui" will be held from 9 a.m. for citizens in the main auditorium. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m.

Among the hands-on events on November 5th, the children's gingerbread house building will be held in two sessions: 30 teams from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the morning, and 30 teams from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon. The elementary school students' architectural drawing event for 30 teams will take place from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Applications for the children's gingerbread house building and elementary school architectural drawing events are accepted on the Pohang Regional Architects Association website until the 31st, and participants will be selected by lottery on the day of the event.
