Renault Korea to Launch 'XM3 E-TECH Hybrid' on the 28th

Combined Fuel Efficiency of 17.4 km/L for 17-Inch Tires

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Renault Korea Motors announced on the 27th that it will launch the coupe-style SUV XM3 hybrid model, the ‘XM3 E-TECH Hybrid,’ in the domestic market starting from the 28th.

The XM3 E-TECH Hybrid, which was released earlier in the European market than in Korea, has been highly rated by experts and actual buyers as the best hybrid vehicle. It boasts a hybrid drive system that is closest to an electric vehicle.

In urban areas where driving speeds are mostly below 50 km/h, which accounts for a large portion of consumers’ daily driving, the XM3 E-TECH Hybrid can operate in electric vehicle mode up to 75%. Additionally, it offers an ‘EV button’ that allows 100% electric vehicle mode selection depending on the remaining battery capacity and driving speed, and a ‘B-mode’ where releasing the accelerator pedal provides engine brake-like deceleration while charging the battery, features similar to those of electric vehicles.

Through these features, the XM3 E-TECH Hybrid boasts excellent fuel efficiency in urban areas. The official combined fuel efficiency based on 17-inch tires is 17.4 km/ℓ, with urban fuel efficiency at 17.5 km/ℓ and highway fuel efficiency at 17.3 km/ℓ. The XM3’s E-TECH hybrid system was developed by incorporating hybrid technology know-how from the Renault Group’s F1 machines. It provides a balanced combination of high energy efficiency and dynamic driving performance.

In particular, the practical space configuration, including a trunk space of 487ℓ?the largest among hybrid models in its class?and a double trunk floor, continues to offer high usability in the XM3 E-TECH Hybrid. Furthermore, it is equipped with a gasoline particulate filter to help reduce outdoor fine dust emissions.

Reflecting the individual consumption tax reduction and eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits, the actual consumer purchase prices for the XM3 E-TECH Hybrid are ▲RE 30.94 million KRW, ▲INSPIRE 33.08 million KRW, and ▲INSPIRE e-shifter 33.37 million KRW.
