4500 Points Provided Upon Device Registration
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] CU announced on the 25th that it will be the first in the industry to offer pre-order sales of Korea Philip Morris's next-generation electronic cigarette device, IQOS Iluma, through its membership application Pocket CU.
IQOS Iluma comes in two colors, beige and gray, priced at 99,000 KRW. Pre-order purchases will be available until the 6th of next month, and customers can pick up the product at their designated stores starting from the 10th. The sales regions include 15 areas such as Seoul, Busan, Incheon, and Gyeonggi. Offline sales will be launched later, with sales regions expected to expand nationwide.
Pre-ordering offers the advantage of purchasing the product more easily and conveniently without waiting. Additionally, customers who pre-order through Pocket CU and register their device on the IQOS website will receive 4,500 points that can be used like cash at CU.
IQOS Iluma is a product officially launched in Korea by Korea Philip Morris, featuring a new tobacco heating method called the Smartcore Induction System, which leaves no residue after smoking and requires no separate cleaning. Unlike previous models, it has no blade, eliminating concerns about breakage.
A BGF Retail official stated, “Since there was high interest among smokers in the new IQOS Iluma product, we introduced pre-order purchases to enhance convenience. We will continue to expand new products and sales methods that can increase smokers' satisfaction in line with diverse customer needs and the latest trend changes.”
