Sancheong-gun to Provide 200,000 Won Disaster Relief Fund to All Residents

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, will provide disaster relief funds of 200,000 KRW to all residents.

Sancheong-gun announced on the 25th that it will distribute the "Sancheong-type Disaster Relief Fund" starting November 1.

This disaster relief fund was prepared to support local residents struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to contribute to the recovery of the local economy through revitalization by using the relief funds.

The Sancheong-type disaster relief fund will provide 200,000 KRW per person in Sancheong Love Gift Certificates from November 1 until January 31, 2023.

Residents registered as of July 31 of this year in Sancheong-gun are eligible to receive the funds.

Payments will begin on November 1, with public officials visiting villages to distribute the funds first, and from December 2022 to the end of January 2023, applications will be accepted and payments made at the town and township offices.

Payments are primarily made to the head of the household, but if a household member receives the payment, they can apply with a power of attorney from the head of the household.

A county official said, "We hope the Sancheong-type disaster relief fund will comfort residents and help quickly revitalize the local economy," adding, "We will continue to create a virtuous cycle where consumption and revenue occur within the region through the Sancheong Love Gift Certificates to build a happy Sancheong for all."
