Imsil County Forestry Cooperative Conducts Advanced Site Visits for Small Clubs

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Jeonbuk Imsil-gun Forestry Cooperative (Chairman Moon Yong-woon) announced on the 25th that it recently conducted a "Field Trip to Advanced Sites for Small-Scale Clubs of Forest Owners and Cooperative Members."

This field trip was held with small-scale club members who completed the forestry workers' capacity-building training conducted by Woosuk University LINC3.0 Project Group over eight weeks starting from July 6.

The program was designed to strengthen the competitiveness of forestry workers, who are relatively underdeveloped compared to other industries, and to conduct field trips to advanced sites necessary for discovering and developing income crops for small-scale forestry workers, providing customized practical training needed by the club members.

Forestry worker Lee, who attended the field trip, said, "It was a beneficial trip as I learned information about chestnut trees, shoots, and bracken cultivation, especially about chestnut tree grafting," and added, "I am deeply grateful to the cooperative for organizing such a useful field trip program."

Moon Yong-woon, chairman of the Imsil-gun Forestry Cooperative, said, "We will continue to consider ways to improve the rights and increase the income of forest owners and cooperative members in Imsil-gun and hold many programs that can provide practical help to forestry workers."
