Finite launches 'PowerMapUS', real-time US stock supply and demand analysis service

Finet Co., Ltd. announced that it will launch the ‘PowerMapUS’ service, a real-time supply and demand analysis service for U.S. stocks, starting with major domestic securities firms.

‘PowerMapUS’ is a solution that provides (real-time) analysis information on short-term, mid-term, and long-term trading flows of stocks traded in the U.S. stock market based on its proprietary AI-based big data analysis algorithm. It supports customers in real-time to grasp the trading information of people worldwide trading in the U.S. stock market and to establish appropriate trading strategies.

Founded in 2019, Finet Co., Ltd. attracted market attention by launching “The Hint,” a solution that provides real-time estimated trading information of foreigners and institutions in the stock market, for the first time in Korea through Hana Securities. “The Hint” ranked first in commission sales among investment information content providers just three months after its service launch at Hana Securities. Subsequently, the company expanded and improved “The Hint” solution and released the “PowerMap” solution, currently securing a large customer base through many domestic securities firms such as Kiwoom Securities, Shinhan Investment Corp., Mirae Asset Securities, NH Investment & Securities, and Ebest Investment & Securities.

Finet’s CEO Choi Jae-hyun, a Ph.D. in engineering, published over 70 domestic and international papers related to software, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and machine learning while serving as a professor at Soongsil University. He leads the company together with CTO Park Je-won, also an engineering Ph.D. and a fellow professor at the same university. The company is led solely by two engineering experts based on technological capabilities rather than by those from business backgrounds. Additionally, Im Geun-hyung, CSO, an international finance expert who graduated from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (MBA) and gained international finance experience at foreign investment banks such as Lehman Brothers and Macquarie Securities, joined from the early stages of the startup to take charge of more systematic development and business strategy planning.

In particular, with the launch of the PowerMapUS solution, international finance expert Im Geun-hyung, CSO, has taken the forefront, accelerating the entry of the PowerMapUS solution into the U.S. market. Im Geun-hyung, responsible for the U.S. market entry, stated, “As far as we have confirmed, a real-time trading information solution like PowerMapUS does not yet exist in the U.S. market. We expect that the PowerMap solution, proven to domestic investors, will also receive favorable reviews in the U.S. market through this entry.”
