[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Daewon Pharmaceutical announced on the 21st that it donated Cureban wound treatment brand products worth 66 million KRW to the Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters.
This donation was carried out through collaboration between Daewon Pharmaceutical and One Biogen, the manufacturer of the initial burn treatment product 'Cureban Burn Spray.' The donated items were delivered to the Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters through the Gyeongbuk Pharmacists Association.
The donated items include 2,000 units of Cureban Burn Spray, used for initial emergency treatment of burns, and 12,000 units of the highly elastic band 'CurebanF' series, designed to adhere even to curved wounds.
Daewon Pharmaceutical and One Biogen explained that even before the launch of Cureban Burn Spray, they recognized the product as essential for firefighters who are easily exposed to burns during fire-fighting activities at fire scenes, and thus prepared the donation together. The Gyeongbuk Pharmacists Association also sympathized with the purpose and showed active willingness to collaborate, leading to the donation.
Cureban Burn Spray is a product for initial emergency treatment of burns. Its main ingredient, liquid hydrogel, spreads over the burn area to quickly reduce heat and sustain a cooling effect, rapidly removing the heat. In particular, it contains aloe vera, which promotes epithelial cell regeneration in the burn area.
Lee Jeong-hee, Director of the OTC Business Division at Daewon Pharmaceutical, said, “We decided to donate burn and wound treatment products for firefighters who work tirelessly day and night to ensure the safety of the public at fire and various disaster sites.” He added, “We will continue to strive to help more firefighters in the future.”
