On the 16th, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam and to promote Vietnamese cultural tourism, the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism visited Korea. The Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism held a meeting with KONDOR, a Korean payment platform company.

Its main business areas include digital & mobile payment solutions and Butterland, a metaverse platform leading integrated cultural spaces.

The meeting began with congratulatory remarks from Ambassador Le Truong Khanh of the Vietnam Tourism Office in Korea, followed by a speech from Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, and finally a welcoming address by Cha Se-young, CEO of KONDOR. The meeting focused on Minister Nguyen Van Hung’s speech, summarizing several outcomes regarding cooperation between Vietnam and Korea, with discussions centered on the importance of the digital economy.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung stated, “The global tourism industry is undergoing strong development driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and in this context, prioritizing the development of digital tourism and smart tourism is a key policy of the Party and the State.” He concluded by emphasizing the critical role of the tourism industry and technology businesses in the digital transformation process and called for strengthening cooperation with partners to implement digital transformation and promote Vietnamese tourism.

It is highly significant that Minister Nguyen Van Hung visited KONDOR as part of his top-priority digital economy transition policy, specifically for the digitalization of the tourism industry.

KONDOR is collaborating with the Vietnam Tourism Office in Korea on a project to promote the tourism payment industry between the two countries. Additionally, KONDOR has a collaborative relationship with Paytech, a Vietnamese PG company, and KSNET+, a Korean PG/VAN company, providing a significant advantage in expanding merchant services.

Through this meeting, KONDOR stated, “All of KONDOR’s business areas will be expanded and advanced, and we are designing to provide better services. We will strive to offer convenience through the digitalization of the tourism industry between Korea and Vietnam.”
