Namhae-gun Hosts 'Gyeongsangnam-do Community Security Council' Capacity Building Conference

Conducted under the slogan 'Happiness Deeply, Sharing Closely, Interest is Hope'

The "8th Gyeongnam Community Security Council Capacity Building Conference" was held in Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 19th, the "8th Gyeongnam Community Security Council Capacity Building Conference" was held in Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, to strengthen the capabilities and communication of the Gyeongsangnam-do Community Security Council members.

This event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Namhae-gun, and organized by the Namhae-gun Community Security Council, under the slogan "Happiness is deep, sharing is dense, interest is hope." It was also held to commemorate the "2022 Year of Visit to Namhae-gun," and took place against the backdrop of the beautiful Mulgeon Port.

Attending the event were Namhae-gun Governor Jang Chung-nam, Kim Young-seon, Director of Welfare Policy Division of Gyeongnam Province, Shin Cha-cheol, Chairman of the Namhae-gun Community Security Council, along with co-chairpersons and officials from 18 community security councils across Gyeongnam Province, totaling over 100 participants.

Hong Soon-cheol, CEO of The Eight, gave a lecture on "21st Century Social Service Strategies to Eliminate Welfare Blind Spots," discussing the future direction of community security councils in addressing welfare blind spots. Additionally, excellent cases from Gyeongnam Province were shared, including Geoje City's "Lifelong Vocational Education Support Project through Career Exploration for Out-of-School Youth" and Hadong-gun Jinkyo-myeon Community Security Council's "Our Neighborhood Happiness Project."

Governor Jang said, "I hope this event becomes a valuable time to discuss more progressive directions for the council members who are leading the efforts to discover welfare blind spots and resources," and added, "I hope you take many good memories from Namhae-gun."

Co-chairman Shin stated, "I am happy to be a member of the Community Security Council," and said, "Namhae-gun will take the lead and strive further so that Gyeongnam's Community Security Council can become a strong pillar of community welfare."
