Dongseo University Holds Final Report Meeting for 'International Youth Leader Exchange Support Project'


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongseo University’s International Office recently held the ‘2022 International Youth Leader Exchange Support Project Results Report Meeting’ at the 6th floor International Seminar Room of the UIT Building.


The International Youth Leader Exchange Support Project is a program that supports exchange activities among multinational university students to strengthen global competencies and enhance the understanding of Korean culture, history, and industry among international students studying in Korea, thereby promoting friendship between countries.


This year, Dongseo University conducted the program under the theme ‘Asia Global Hub Busan: Together for the 2030 Busan World Expo’ to promote the local issue of attracting the 2030 Busan World Expo.


In the program, a total of 10 small groups, each consisting of 6 members per team, carried out small-scale explorations and discussions while establishing YouTube and promotional strategies to promote the attraction of the 2030 Busan World Expo.


At the presentation event, the presentation on the theme ‘How to promote expo?’ received the grand prize, and a total of three teams were awarded, including one team each for the excellence prize and the encouragement prize.


Choi Hong-seong, Director of the International Exchange Center, said, “Multinational youths passionately participated together in discussions regarding the promotion and attraction of the 2030 Busan World Expo, a local issue. I am very proud of the students who produced excellent project results through collaboration and communication.”


Dongseo University was finally selected as an operating institution for the ‘2022 International Youth Leader Exchange Support Project’ organized by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency. Fourteen universities, including Dongseo University, Kangwon National University, and Jeonbuk National University, were selected for the project.
