[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] The Jeonbuk Gochang Culture and Tourism Foundation announced on the 18th that it is recruiting participants for the Gochang Korea Dullegil "Walking People, Walking Gochang" program, which will be held four times on the 22nd, 23rd, 29th, and 30th.
On the 22nd and 23rd, participants will walk course 41 of the Seohaerang-gil, starting from Gushipo, which features dense pine forests and fine sandy beaches, passing through Myeongsasimni Beach.
On the 29th and 30th, the program will take place along course 43 of the Seohaerang-gil, walking along mudflats while passing through biodiversity-rich wetland protection areas and village roads.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the 28th, and applicants can download the application form from the foundation’s website notice board to apply.
Participants will receive commemorative gifts including a sweatshirt, a mug, and a Seohaerang-gil badge, and professional photographers will accompany the group to provide photos taken during the event.
A foundation official said, "We expect this program to revitalize walking travel routes within Gochang County and to re-highlight various tourist resources adjacent to the Gochang Seohaerang-gil."
This program is part of the 2022 "Korea Dullegil Rest Area and Linked Program Operation" project, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, and organized by Gochang County and the Gochang Culture and Tourism Foundation.
Even after the program, souvenirs will continue to be given to explorers walking the Seohaerang-gil in Gochang.
