[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] KST Mobility, the operator of the platform-affiliated taxi service ‘MacaronM,’ has denied recent rumors in the capital market industry regarding the acquisition of ‘MacaronT1,’ calling them false.
The company also added that it is considering strong countermeasures against the original source of the false information.
A KST Mobility official stated, “Although there were discussions related to the acquisition of our subsidiary ‘MacaronT1,’ all negotiations were finally terminated last month. At this recent point in time, when we are focusing on establishing new business strategies such as appointing a new CEO and signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with HumaxEV to support eco-friendly electric taxi charging infrastructure and mutual cooperation, we consider this matter to potentially harm the company’s external credibility. Therefore, we will review all possible responses.”
KST Mobility also announced that the company plans to make multifaceted efforts to concretize and implement new growth strategies.
KST Mobility is an affiliate of NSN, a KOSDAQ-listed company. NSN holds 35.02% of KST Mobility’s shares.
