Smart city module development company H&Corp Co., Ltd. (CEO Cha Haneul) and Incheon Smart City Co., Ltd. (CEO Seong Giuk) announced on Friday, October 14, 2022, that they signed a business agreement for the "Smart Module Complex Development Project to Respond to Population Extinction Areas" at the Smart City headquarters in G Tower, Songdo, Incheon.
'MetaSmartCell' is a new concept lifestyle platform that supplies modular housing to attract population inflow in depopulated areas in cooperation with local governments.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety designated 89 depopulated areas nationwide, and
Inside the smart homes, spaces are provided for telecommuters with income, YouTubers, freelancers, and others to workation, offering a practical lifestyle in depopulated areas. Additionally, AI development that coexists with residents is being pursued based on lifestyle big data.
At the signing ceremony, CEO Cha Haneul stated, "We will showcase a comprehensive future city minimum model by connecting 20 smart homes like LegoBrick and one community facility as a single module through an online platform for education, culture, and administration, constructing smart farms that produce agricultural products suited to the local environment, linking them with MetaSmartCell houses, and applying eco-friendly energy facilities to the houses."
MetaSmartCell is currently conducting a pilot project and will officially launch in one of the depopulated areas next year.

After conducting pilot projects domestically (in Chungcheong and Gangwon regions), MetaSmartCell plans to distribute modules overseas using the accumulated know-how, technology, and data.
