CDP Presents New 2023 Service On-site for the First Time in Korea

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Ye-joo] KOTRA is preparing a platform for export small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to discuss supply chain ESG management strategies.

On the 17th, KOTRA announced that it will hold the '2022 SME ESG Plus Forum' in collaboration with Deloitte Anjin Accounting Corporation.

This forum was organized in response to the increasing ESG demands from large domestic and international companies on Korean export companies, while many exporters still face difficulties in proactive responses due to a lack of information on the current global ESG requirements and insufficient networking for ESG management adoption.

At the forum, CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) will present detailed information on CDP's newly launched 2023 services for the first time in Korea. This is a major issue affecting not only small and medium-sized enterprises but also large corporations. Dedy Mahardika, the only Southeast Asia and Oceania SBTi representative from CDP, will attend as a speaker.

Additionally, representatives from global companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, POSCO, LG Energy Solution, and Hanwha Solutions will share key industry-specific ESG requirements expected from their partners. Participants will also gain insights from KoYoung Technology’s know-how in proactively managing supply chain risks through ESG management adoption.

Furthermore, before and after the seminar, various events will be held to enhance ESG awareness, including networking consultations exploring carbon reduction business opportunities with environmental technology ventures and startups, consultations on ESG management strategies and financial support, as well as ESG guidebook experiences and giveaways. This will provide participating companies with a comprehensive ESG experience.
