The '2022 Nowon Moonlight Walk' is an event exhibiting various artistic lanterns and light sculptures along a 2km section of Danghyeoncheon from Junggye Station (Danghyeon 3 Bridge) to Sanggye Station (Mathematics Culture Center).

It is held under the theme 'Crossing the Milky Way,' embodying the wishes and hopes of district residents to overcome the COVID-19 situation and move toward the future.

A total of 35 works comprising about 120 lanterns, including sculptures, media art, automata, and various installation arts, are arranged along the 2km section of Danghyeoncheon, creating an outdoor exhibition that can be enjoyed while strolling. Seven works created in collaboration between local youth, residents, and artists are also displayed.

The exhibition runs for 17 days from the 14th to the 30th, from 6 PM to 10 PM daily. Starting from the 15th, the 'Garden of Fire' performance will be held every Friday and Saturday at 7 PM and 8 PM at the same location.

The lighting ceremony was attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, members of the National Assembly, city councilors, district councilors, and the chief of Nowon Fire Station. It began with the opening performance 'Fire Goblin' by the Art Fire Gallery, followed by a countdown and lighting, and a tour of Danghyeoncheon.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon District said, “The Danghyeoncheon area has been reborn as a cultural and artistic space for residents,” adding, “I hope everyone enjoys the small pleasures of daily life while enjoying the Moonlight Walk.”
