Gijang-gun Jeonggwan-eup Welfare Center Contributes to Residents' Cultural and Welfare Improvement... Various Talent Donation Programs On the 11th, the Jang-gwan Eup Welfare Center in Gijang provided free haircut services to 12 local residents through the talent donation of volunteers.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Gijang-gun, Busan, is contributing to the welfare improvement of local residents by operating various talent donation programs to revitalize the use of the Jeonggwan-eup Welfare Hall.

Since the 11th, the Welfare Hall has been providing various programs to local residents through talent donations and volunteer work.

Starting with a free haircut service on the first day of the program, the schedule is as follows: ▲ the first Tuesday of every month features Pungmul performances ▲ the second Tuesday offers haircut services ▲ the third Tuesday and Wednesday have Janggu performances ▲ the fourth Wednesday hosts a laughter exercise class.

The Jeonggwan-eup Welfare Hall, located in Wolpyeong-ri, Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun, which opened on the 5th of last month, was built on a 1,650㎡ site with a total floor area of 817㎡ and is equipped with a bathhouse and lecture rooms.

As of October 11, it is being operated successfully with a total of 339 local residents using the facility.

Designated as a development-restricted zone and a water source protection area, the Welfare Hall was established to improve the welfare of residents of Sambu Village (Wolpyeong, Imgok, Dumyeong villages), who have long been subject to dual regulations and excluded from welfare benefits. According to the Water Source Management Regulations, its use is restricted to local residents only.

Jeonggwan-eup Mayor Jongcheon Kim said, “We will collect and reflect the opinions of local residents from all walks of life so that the Jeonggwan-eup Welfare Hall can become a space that enhances the culture and welfare level of residents, and we will discover various talent donors to provide high-quality welfare services.”
