The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Creative Content Agency, and the Korea Boardgame Industry Association announced on the 12th that they operated a Korean joint pavilion at the Essen Spiel board game fair held in Germany for four days starting from the 6th.
This is the world's largest board game event with a 39-year tradition. This year, 980 companies from 56 countries participated, and 140,000 visitors attended. The Korea Creative Content Agency established the Korean joint pavilion to enhance the competitiveness of domestic companies and build a foundation for overseas expansion. The participating companies were five in total: Gameology, Dazzle Edu, Mandu Games, Gemblow, and Popcorn Edu. They promoted a variety of games ranging from educational to party types and conducted 203 contract consultations.
A representative from the Korea Creative Content Agency stated, "All participating companies discussed new or completed works with buyers interested in investment, distribution, and co-production, and pursued follow-up networking and business plans." They added, "To facilitate effective export consultations, we set up business meeting rooms and provided local interpreters and support staff. Together with the Korea Boardgame Industry Association, we surveyed business trends and reviewed future support directions."
