Asiana Airlines, Ranked No.1 in the Aviation Sector of the '2022 Korea Industry Customer Satisfaction'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Asiana Airlines announced on the 11th that it has achieved first place in the 'Airline Sector' for 8 consecutive years in the 2022 Korea Customer Satisfaction Index (KCSI).

Asiana Airlines was selected as the number one airline in the 'Airline Sector' at the 2022 KCSI Awards Ceremony held at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on the same day. Since the customer satisfaction survey for the airline sector began in 1995, Asiana Airlines has ranked first 24 times out of 27 evaluations.

In this survey, Asiana Airlines received excellent evaluations from customers for ▲resuming domestic business class operations reflecting customer demands ▲implementing integrated quarantine and prevention programs for safe travel amid COVID-19 ▲deploying the super-large A380 aircraft to meet increasing travel demand.

Asiana Airlines plans to continue 'customer satisfaction through the highest safety and service' by ▲developing programs and training for safe aircraft operation ▲gradually expanding international flights in response to the increase in travel demand suppressed by COVID-19 ▲strengthening ESG management activities through a dedicated organization for sustainable development.

Jo Young-seok, Head of Management at Asiana Airlines, said, "We thank our customers who have consistently chosen us as the number one airline in customer satisfaction even while passing through the dark tunnel of COVID-19."

The KCSI, hosted by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC), is a comprehensive index representing customer satisfaction with products and services in various domestic industries, announcing preferred brands through objective evaluations every year.

This year’s customer satisfaction survey in the airline sector was conducted through household visit interviews over about four months from April 11 to August 6, targeting adults aged 18 to 65 who had flown on a flight within the past year.
