Departing Every Saturday from November for a 6-Night, 8-Day Trip
Visit Hidden Small Towns like Polignano a Mare and Paestum
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Tour Development announced on the 9th that it will sell a 6-night, 8-day Southern Italy package through Home&Shopping at 10:45 PM on the 10th.
From next month until March of next year, the 6-night, 8-day itinerary departs every Saturday from Incheon Airport to Rome Airport using local European carriers such as Lufthansa and Finnair.
Through this package, travelers can visit the four major cities where they can experience the beautiful nature of Southern Italy (Polignano a Mare, Positano, Sorrento, Naples), as well as the seven major cities rich in ancient Roman history (Rome, Pompeii, Paestum, Matera, Alberobello, Bari, Tivoli).
Lotte Tour Development stated, "Unlike existing packages focused on famous large cities such as Rome and Naples, we added differentiation by including hidden gem small towns in the south such as Polignano a Mare, Paestum, Matera, Tivoli, and Alberobello in the itinerary."
As a special benefit from Lotte Tour Development, local driver and guide fees worth 80 euros (about 110,000 KRW, as of October 6) will be supported, and a special dinner set featuring the culture and flavors of Southern Italy will be provided once, including seafood pasta, fried seafood, Margherita pizza, gelato, and tiramisu prepared by a Michelin-starred chef.
One of the main tourist destinations in this package, Polignano a Mare, is a resort city known as the pearl of the Adriatic Sea, popular among locals and Europeans by word of mouth. Visitors can enjoy leisure while admiring the spectacular view of Lama Monachile Beach located between two cliffs. Paestum is a rare place in Italy where ancient Greek ruins are preserved, allowing visitors to feel the breath of ancient Greece while viewing three temples dedicated to Athena, Poseidon, and Hera. Matera, with a history of 9,000 years, is a UNESCO World Heritage site as an entire city. The cave dwellings and rock churches formed between cliffs create a dreamy atmosphere. In Tivoli, visitors will tour Villa d'Este, one of the three great Renaissance gardens known as the Garden of Water. From November to March, when the tour takes place, Southern Italy maintains an average temperature around 15 degrees Celsius.
