Changwon Special City Union of Neighborhood Leaders Reunites After Over Three Years The Association of Neighborhood and Village Leaders of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, successfully held a Unity Pledge Rally at Jinhae Public Stadium.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] The Changwon Special City Neighborhood Association held the ‘2022 Changwon Special City Neighborhood Association Unity Pledge Event’ successfully at 10:30 AM on the 7th at Jinhae Public Stadium.


On this day, about 1,900 people, including neighborhood leaders who quietly fulfill their duties at the forefront of administration, and invited guests including Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, gathered for a meaningful time to strengthen harmony and unity.


In particular, for the first time in over three years since 2019, all neighborhood leaders gathered in one place and participated in the event in an orderly manner throughout. The event proceeded in the order of opening ceremony, commendation of exemplary neighborhood leaders, cheerful sports competition, and harmony festival.


Lee Maeng-woo, President of the Neighborhood Association, said, “I thank the neighborhood leaders for their dedicated efforts and volunteer activities for regional development,” and added, “I hope that through today’s event, all accumulated worries will be cast away and that you will continue to do your best for the happiness of the citizens.”


Mayor Hong said, “I am grateful for the dedication and service of the neighborhood leaders who, like the light and salt of our society, take on all the difficult tasks at the forefront of administration,” and added, “We will do our best to promote innovative policies aiming for ‘Changwon as the Northeast Asia Central City’ so that vitality can be restored throughout our society.”
