NH Nonghyup Bank Launches 'Safe Banking Service' to Strengthen Security for Non-Face-to-Face Transactions

Providing Financial Fraud Prevention Service Using Physical OTP

NH Nonghyup Bank Launches 'Safe Banking Service' to Strengthen Security for Non-Face-to-Face Transactions

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunju Lee] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 7th that it has launched the 'Safe Banking Service' to prevent customer financial fraud and enhance security and stability.

The 'Safe Banking Service' is a specialized service unique to Nonghyup Bank, available to customers using a physical OTP. When subscribing to the service, issuance or change of security media through non-face-to-face channels is blocked. This makes it impossible to switch security media without visiting a branch to cancel the service, even if personal information is stolen, thereby preventing financial fraud.

In particular, it is expected to effectively prevent recently increasing methods targeting the elderly, such as 'child impersonation messenger phishing.' An NH Nonghyup Bank official stated, “In addition to the Safe Banking Service, we are enhancing financial security and user convenience through the operation of a dedicated electronic finance FDS accident prevention center,” and added, “We will strive to provide differentiated digital financial services that anyone can use with confidence.”
