[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jaehee] Samsung Electronics announced on the 7th that its preliminary results based on the consolidated financial statements for the third quarter of 2022 recorded sales of 76 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 10.8 trillion KRW. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 2.73%, but operating profit decreased by 31.73% during the same period.

▲ Namgwang Togeon = Namgwang Togeon announced on the 7th that it signed a supply contract for a small-scale reconstruction maintenance project of Daemyeong Apartments in Gongneung-dong, Seoul, worth 32.9 billion KRW. This amount corresponds to 9.23% of the 2021 sales.
▲ IS Dongseo = Announced on the 7th that it won a contract for a street housing maintenance project around Taewon Apartments in Sasang-gu, Busan, worth 68.3 billion KRW. This corresponds to 4.25% of the 2021 sales.
▲ HSD Engine = HSD Engine announced on the 7th that production in the ship engine business division has resumed following the settlement of the 2022 wage negotiations. The sales from the resumed production area amount to 488.8 billion KRW, which corresponds to 81.60% of the 2021 sales.
▲ Neocrema = Announced on the 7th that it obtained a patent from the Korean Intellectual Property Office for a composition containing galacto-oligosaccharides for the prevention, improvement, or treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. The patent acquisition date was September 19.
