Sacheon City Promotes Administrative Development... Holds Next Year's Major Work Plan Report Meeting

Request to Expand SOC Projects to Establish the Foundation for the Space Aviation Agency and Alleviate Citizen Inconvenience

Sacheon City, Gyeongnam held the 2023 major business plan briefing session.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sacheon City in Gyeongnam held a 2023 major business plan briefing session for three days from the 4th to the 6th, targeting the city hall, affiliated institutions, and business offices to promote the development of the 8th term of the elected administration.

Presided over by Mayor Park Dong-sik, this briefing session focused on reporting a total of 507 projects, including 325 general projects, 83 key projects, and 99 new projects, and discussed the direction of their implementation.

In particular, the session intensively reviewed major pending projects that the city is committed to, such as the creation of an aerospace administrative complex town and improvement of residential conditions in response to the government's special law promotion related to aerospace policies.

Additionally, a master plan was prepared for large-scale projects that will lead the region's long-term development, and the 8th term elected administration’s pledged projects and key priority projects were meticulously examined.

Furthermore, by reporting on sunset projects, the city aimed to maximize the synergy effect of selection and concentration to secure momentum for city administration.

Through this briefing session, the city plans to revise and supplement the 2023 major business plans, reflect and finalize them in the 2023 main budget to be compiled in December after the October council business report.

Key policies by sector for next year include ▲ citizen-centered administration communicating with citizens ▲ promotion of establishing the Aerospace Administration Office in Sacheon ▲ creation of the Samcheonpo Rainbow Ecological Exploration Trail ▲ restoration project of the Samcheonpocheon ecological stream ▲ extension project of the Sacheon Rainbow Coastal Road ▲ construction of a multipurpose gymnasium in the western area, among a total of 507 projects.
