Dong-A Pharmaceutical Completely Redesigns 'Panpyrin' Cold Medicine Packaging After 15 Years


[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced on the 7th that it will completely redesign the package of its comprehensive cold medicine 'Panpyrin' for the first time in 15 years.


This package renewal was carried out as part of strengthening the Panpyrin brand, which has been recognized as a national cold medicine for over 60 years.


The image of the girl wearing a headscarf, the character of Panpyrin, has been changed to a modern style, and the brand's representative colors?red, blue, and gold?were each given meanings: 'protection and vitality,' 'healing and trust,' and 'No.1 brand,' respectively. Additionally, a design symbolizing the representative consonant 'ㅍ' was inserted to further enhance the brand image.


To reduce transportation burden during distribution, the outer box packaging unit was also changed. The previous packaging of 30 bottles * 9 cases was changed to 30 bottles * 6 cases, reducing the box weight by approximately 6.5 kg.


A Dong-A Pharmaceutical official said, “We are presenting a package renewal that combines Panpyrin’s unique assets with a modern style for the first time in 15 years. We hope that the brand value contained in the new package will be well conveyed to consumers, and we will continue to strive to be loved as Korea’s representative cold medicine for a long time.”
