Imsil County Forestry Cooperative Holds Forest Management Guidance Day Event

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun Forestry Cooperative (Chairman Moon Yong-woon) announced on the 7th that it held the 'October Forest Management Guidance Day Event' on the 6th to revitalize private forest management and increase forestry income.

On this day, they introduced liquid mulch and conducted promotion and education on the safe use of pesticides for forest product cultivating farmers.

Since forestry workers also engage in agriculture, they introduced an eco-friendly mulch that is more economical and efficient than conventional plastic mulch, and provided education on the safe use of pesticides in the forestry sector to support forestry workers who had difficulties with the Positive List System (PLS) for pesticide residue management, ensuring safe production management of forest products.

Forestry worker Lee, who participated in the event, said, "Besides managing chestnut trees, I have been fighting weeds in the fields, so I am grateful for the introduction of the easy and convenient liquid mulch, and the useful education provided by the cooperative is a great help."

Moon Yong-woon, chairman of the Imsil-gun Forestry Cooperative, said, "I hope this event was of some help to the approximately 50 forestry workers who participated," and added, "We will continue to make our best efforts through the Forest Management Guidance Day events to increase income and convenience for forest owners, cooperative members, and forestry workers."
