BMW New 7 Series Enters Launch Countdown...Setting New Standards for Luxury Sedans

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Recently, through price disclosure, BMW's flagship model, the new 7 Series, which is set to launch by the end of this year, is garnering expectations to set a new standard for luxury sedans.

With an exterior emphasizing overwhelming presence and sophisticated sensibility, and an interior offering a differentiated digital experience with the highest level of luxury and a new entertainment system, it is expected to provide a new dimension of mobility experience based on an unparalleled sense of luxury.

The 7th generation new 7 Series boasts a larger body than the previous generation model, offering a more comfortable and spacious interior. Inside, it provides a new level of digital experience, including the world's first in-vehicle entertainment system. Additionally, the BMW Theater Screen for rear-seat passengers is applied for the first time.

The models currently available for pre-order are two types: the BMW New 740i sDrive Executive Package and the pure electric model i7 xDrive60 Executive Package. The BMW New 740i sDrive is equipped with a new inline 6-cylinder engine producing a maximum output of 380 horsepower and a maximum torque of 55.1 kg·m, paired with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The BMW i7 xDrive60, featuring BMW's 5th generation eDrive system, delivers a maximum output of 544 horsepower through two electric motors and is equipped with a high-voltage 101.7 kWh battery with high energy density, providing ample driving range.

The domestic launch prices for the BMW New 7 Series are as follows: for the New 740i sDrive, the Design Pure Excellence Executive Package is priced at 173 million KRW, and the M Sport Package Executive Package at 176.3 million KRW. For the pure electric model i7 xDrive60, the Design Pure Excellence Executive Package is priced at 215.7 million KRW, and the M Sport Package Executive Package at 218.7 million KRW.
