GFFG Opens Single Malt Whiskey Bar 'Open End' in Cheongdam Branch

A variety of alcoholic beverages are displayed on the bar table at Open End Cheongdam.

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] GFFG, which operates various dining brands such as Noted, Downtowner, Anniocation, and Kimasushi, announced on the 6th that it will open a single malt whiskey bar, ‘Open End Cheongdam Branch’.

GFFG decided to open Open End Cheongdam, a single malt whiskey specialty bar, under the catchphrase “Let’s celebrate our lives” to lead a rich dining culture with whiskey. The name Open End carries the meaning that “everything has an open ending.” Currently, they operate branches in Gwanghwamun and Deoksugung.

The interior was designed as a continuation of the free-spirited atmosphere of the first floor ‘Anniocation,’ which embodies the freshness of tropical regions, and the California beach vibe of the second floor ‘Kimasushi.’ Visitors can enjoy whiskey in the exotic third-floor space decorated with an oriental mood. In particular, it is designed with a two-sided balcony space to allow fresh air to flow in, providing a wide-open sense of openness.

The alcoholic beverage lineup has also been strengthened, centered on single malt whiskey. Along with KHEE soju, which continues to be sold out daily, there are ▲pack cocktails ▲vintage beers prepared. Finger foods that pair well include brie cheese, jerky, and stewed fruits, creating the ultimate harmony with whiskey.

Additionally, only at Open End Cheongdam, ▲handmade pickles ▲Hongdodam sparkling water are provided free of charge. Especially, the pickles, made in-house using various vegetables such as kohlrabi and cauliflower, are perfect for stimulating the appetite while enjoying whiskey. Operating hours are from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
