SK Hynix to Showcase Themes of 'Technology, ESG, Communication, and Talent' at SEDEX 2022

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] SK Hynix announced on the 6th that it participated in the Semiconductor Exhibition (SEDEX) 2022 held on the 5th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, opening an exhibition hall and showcasing advanced semiconductor technologies.

At this year's exhibition, SK Hynix emphasized the message of a "Memory Centric Universe," where memory semiconductors become the center of the world. It highlighted that memory semiconductors are the foundation of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual worlds (Metaverse), big data, and next-generation communication networks (6G).

SK Hynix divided the exhibition areas into four key themes based on the letters of TECH, a major word in its brand slogan and this exhibition's theme "We Do Technology": Technology (T), ESG (E), Communication (C), and Talent (R).

At the center of the exhibition hall, SK Hynix set up a booth showcasing its technological capabilities. Near this booth, sculptures demonstrating the evolution levels of SK Hynix's main products, DRAM and NAND flash, were also displayed. Additionally, the highest-spec PCIe 4th generation interface NVMe SSD among consumer solid-state drives (SSD) was exhibited.

Through this exhibition, SK Hynix introduced its ESG strategy framework "PRISM," which practices ESG-centered management. PRISM systematizes the directions and detailed goals of various ESG activities the company pursues, embodying a promise to radiate positive influence like a prism as a socially responsible corporation. Environmental management activities such as RE100 (100% renewable energy procurement) and Net Zero (zero carbon emissions) were also introduced.

Recognizing talent development as an important issue in the semiconductor field, related exhibitions were not omitted. SK Hynix operates semiconductor contract departments guaranteeing employment with Korea University, Sogang University, and Hanyang University. At this exhibition, a metaverse experience booth related to these contract departments was presented. Using SK Telecom's metaverse platform, ifland, the booth introduced recruitment guidelines, talent profiles, and curricula of each department.

SK Hynix stated, "The various technological achievements and vision for sustainable growth shown by SK Hynix at SEDEX 2022 are important points to foresee the future image SK Hynix will draw. We plan to continuously showcase semiconductor technologies that can inspire and create opportunities in the future information and communication technology (ICT) industry at the center of advanced technology, and based on this, create a better world and continuously generate social value."
