Korea Bio Association Operates 'BioHealth Online Job Fair' to Expand Talent Matching

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Korea Bio Association announced on the 6th that it will operate the 'Biohealth Online Recruitment Center' to support its member companies facing difficulties in hiring professionals in the bio sector.

Along with operating the recruitment center, a 'Biohealth Companies Online Recruitment Briefing Session' was held over two days on the 4th and 5th, creating a platform for communication between young job seekers and companies. A total of 10 companies, including SK Bioscience, Dong-A ST, Merck, and Huons, participated in this briefing session, introducing their companies, recruitment procedures, desired talent profiles, job introductions, and conducting Q&A sessions.

The Biohealth Online Recruitment Center will operate continuously in a permanent recruitment center format until the first half of next year. Job seekers in the bio sector can conveniently search for recruitment announcements and company introduction materials in the biohealth field all at once, while participating companies can receive various paid services from the employment portal 'Saramin' free of charge, such as AI-based resume screening, talent recommendations, and non-face-to-face interview services.

Since last year, the association has opened a permanent recruitment center in a non-face-to-face format tailored to hiring in the biohealth sector. With the participation of 150 bio companies, 689 recruitment announcements were posted, and the number of views of recruitment announcements approached 6,500, drawing positive responses from the industry and job seekers.

Son Ji-ho, Head of Industry Support at the Korea Bio Association, said, “With the rapid growth of the bio industry, securing good talent has become a constant challenge for companies. Currently, the association aims to support the resolution of manpower supply mismatches for member companies by promoting recruitment support services along with practical training programs operated to supply professional personnel.”
