[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Lotte Outlet announced on the 6th that it will hold a large-scale outdoor event at all its stores. Under the concept of ‘Rest in Nature,’ it will offer a variety of content ranging from outdoor-related discount events to experiential activities.

First, it will provide the biggest shopping benefits of the year in collaboration with over 20 popular outdoor brands. Participating brands include The North Face, Discovery, National Geographic, Eider, and Columbia. A wide range of items, from clothing products to hiking gear and tents, will be carefully selected and offered at discounts of up to 80%. Every weekend, a promotion will also be held where customers receive Lotte gift certificates worth approximately 3% of their purchase amount, depending on the payment method.

In partnership with the emotional camping brand Hardgear, a prize event with abundant benefits will also be held. Applications can be submitted through the Lotte Department Store application until the 23rd of this month. Through a draw, the first prize winner will receive a ‘Gear Bell 500 Third Edition’ tent worth 988,000 KRW, and the second prize winner will receive an ‘Indian Tent’ specially produced by Lotte Outlet and Hardgear for this event.

Experiential content has also been prepared. At Time Villas, Giheung, Icheon, Dongbusan, Buyeo, and Isiapolis stores, large pop-ups with outdoor brands will be operated, allowing customers to experience popular items and new products from each brand in one place. At Giheung and Icheon stores, special pop-ups featuring various brands such as Hardgear, Eider, and National Geographic will be set up, along with photo zones and rest areas.

At the Paju store, an outdoor festival called ‘Sneaker House’ will be held for limited-edition sneaker enthusiasts, offering a unique experience. It will take place on the outdoor rooftop garden of the Paju store from the 8th to the 9th, with about 30 teams participating, including the famous sneaker select shops from Itaewon, Chips and Agglet, and the global retail brand Foot Locker, showcasing limited-edition sneakers and street fashion. In addition to exhibiting highly rare limited-edition sneakers, there will be giveaways of over 50 limited-edition sneakers and apparel items.

Jung Dongpil, head of Lotte Outlet Leasing Division 2, said, “This fall, with the reopening and the lifting of the outdoor mask mandate, demand for outdoor activities and outdoor product categories is expected to increase more than ever.” He added, “This event was planned not just as a simple product discount but to provide ‘enjoyment’ to visiting customers through various content.”
