[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyuk-jun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, will conduct the 2022 Resident Registration Fact Investigation from the 6th to December 30th.
According to the county on the 5th, this resident registration fact investigation is being promoted to enhance administrative convenience for residents through efficient administrative work.
A joint investigation team composed of town and township officials and village chiefs will investigate whether the resident registration details match the actual residence by visiting or phone.
The main investigation targets include households with welfare vulnerable groups (high-risk groups among the central welfare crisis households identified by the Ministry of Health and Welfare), households suspected of death, households with long-term absentees, and households with school-age children not attending school. These households are, in principle, required to undergo a visit investigation.
From this year, a non-face-to-face digital investigation method has been newly introduced. This method involves the investigation target accessing the non-face-to-face investigation system through Government24 from their resident registration address and responding to the fact investigation items.
For non-face-to-face investigation participants excluding the main investigation targets before the 24th, only additional phone investigations will be conducted.
Also, if incorrect resident registration details reported during the investigation period are voluntarily corrected at the town or township administrative welfare center before December 23rd, up to 80% of the fines imposed under the Resident Registration Act will be reduced.
A county official said, “We will do our best in the investigation to prevent welfare blind spots where residents cannot receive appropriate welfare benefits due to differences between actual residence and resident registration address,” and added, “We hope residents will take great interest and actively participate.”
