KakaoBank Hosts 'Limit Inquiry' Event for Mortgage Loans

[Asia Economy Reporter Sim Nayoung] KakaoBank announced on the 5th that it will hold a 'Limit Inquiry Event' offering prizes to customers who check their mortgage loan limits.

The 'Limit Inquiry Event' allows participation by pressing 'Participate in Event' on the event page within the KakaoBank app during the event period and then proceeding with 'Check My Limit' for mortgage loans through a simple conversation with the chatbot.

A total of 10,300 customers selected by lottery will receive various prizes such as Kakao Friends goods including the 'Ryan & Chunsik Mini Air Fryer,' 'Chunsik Sandwich Maker,' 'Ryan Mood Light Humidifier,' and coffee coupons.

The event runs from the 5th to the 25th, and mobile coupons will be individually sent on November 3rd to the KakaoTalk accounts linked to KakaoBank for the winning customers.

KakaoBank's mortgage loan product can be conveniently used through a chatbot function with a conversational interface, allowing document submission, loan screening, and execution as if having a conversation.

Since August, KakaoBank has expanded the target areas for mortgage loan products from the metropolitan area and five major metropolitan cities to nationwide and extended the maximum maturity to 45 years for mixed and variable interest rate products.

From October 6th, the income calculation method will also be improved. From the pre-inquiry stage, customers can choose whether to include spouse income, allowing them to check higher limits, and for youth under 39 years old, limits reflecting future expected income based on age and earned income will be applied.

A KakaoBank official stated, "We prepared this limit inquiry event so that more customers can experience the convenience of KakaoBank's mortgage loans," adding, "We will always prioritize consumer convenience and strive to enable customers to enjoy easy and beneficial financial life."

The maximum loan limit for home purchase funds is up to 1 billion KRW, and the loan interest rate is as low as 3.310% (variable rate, as of October 5th), varying depending on the loan period, grace period, and repayment method. Early repayment fees will be fully waived until the end of this year.
