[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Heerim is showing strong performance. It appears that the news of NEOM City, the world's largest smart city under construction in western Saudi Arabia, being selected as the host of the 2029 Winter Asian Games is influencing the stock price.

At 9:20 AM on the 5th, Heerim is trading at 8,940 KRW, up 16.1% from the previous day.

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) stated in a press release after holding a general meeting in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, that "Saudi Arabia's deserts and mountains will become the stage for winter sports."

The NEOM City project, conceived by Saudi powerbroker and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is a project to build a futuristic resort city near the Red Sea with an investment of 4,000 billion pounds (approximately 634.7 trillion KRW).

The Winter Asian Games are scheduled to be held in 'Trojena,' a mountainous area of NEOM City. Located on a plateau at an altitude of 1,500 to 2,600 meters, this area experiences winter temperatures below freezing. Saudi Arabia plans to build facilities such as artificial lakes, luxury hotels, and ski resorts in Trojena by 2026.

Heerim has participated in the construction of various buildings and landmarks both domestically and internationally. Representative projects include Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, Busan Cinema Center, Pyeongchang Winter Olympics figure skating and short track speed skating venues, the main stadium of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan, and Landmark Tower in Hanoi, Vietnam. Heerim focuses on high value-added special design fields such as stadiums, airports, hospitals, hotels, smart cities, and super high-rise buildings. It was also responsible for the master plan and basic planning of stadium facilities during the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics bid.
