Stellantis Korea Launches Extended Warranty Program for Peugeot, DS, and Citro?n

Basic Vehicle Warranty Can Be Extended by '24 Months' or '24 Months/30,000 km'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Stellantis Korea announced on the 5th that it will introduce an 'Extended Warranty Program' for the Peugeot, DS Automobiles (DS), and Citro?n brands.

This program allows customers who own Peugeot, DS, and Citro?n brand vehicles to extend their warranty period beyond the basic warranty (36 months or 100,000 km), enabling them to operate their vehicles more securely and economically for a longer period.

The program consists of two options: a '24-month' product that simply extends the period of the general warranty, and a '24 months or 30,000 km' product that extends both the period and mileage. Customers who drive less than 20,000 km annually can choose the '24-month' product, while those who frequently drive long distances can select the '24 months or 30,000 km' product.

Not only new car customers but also consumers who have previously purchased Peugeot, DS, or Citro?n vehicles, as well as used car owners, are eligible to enroll. New car customers can join within '6 months or 5,000 km' from the initial registration date, and for used cars, vehicles that have passed the pre-inspection criteria within '36 months or 100,000 km' of the general warranty period can enroll (all based on the earliest condition).

The eligible models include Peugeot e-208, 2008 SUV, e-2008 SUV, 308, 3008 SUV, 508, 5008 SUV, and DS 3 Crossback E-Tense, DS 3 Crossback, DS 4, DS 7 Crossback. For the Citro?n brand, the C4, Grand C4, C3, and C5 are applicable.

The price of the extended warranty program varies depending on the model and whether the vehicle is new or used. Based on new cars, the Peugeot e-208 costs 714,000 KRW for the 24-month extension product and 955,000 KRW for the 24 months or 30,000 km extension product. The DS 3 Crossback E-Tense costs 903,000 KRW for the 24-month extension and 1,323,000 KRW for the 24 months or 30,000 km extension.
