25 Billion KRW Support Provided to Approximately 40 Small and Medium PP Companies Over 6 Years

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 5th that it held the awards ceremony for the '7th Small and Medium PP Production Support Contest,' co-hosted with the Korean Society for Journalism and Communication Studies.
In this contest, Jinjoong's "K-Road: A Journey Through the History of Korean Currency," which easily explains the history of South Korean money, won first place with a prize of 50 million won. "Sea, Embracing Tomorrow" by New Polaris, depicting the work scenes of young fishermen who returned to rural areas, won second place with a prize of 40 million won. In the university student video contest, a total of 10 teams were awarded, including Daegu Catholic University, which produced a promotional video for Ontong Duyu, a tenant of Sangsaeng House, winning the grand prize with a prize of 3 million won.
Since 2017, Lotte Homeshopping has been the only company in the industry to implement the small and medium PP production support contest. Over seven editions, it has supported about 40 small and medium PPs with more than 2.5 billion won. Since 2020, it has also held a video production contest for university students to promote small and medium enterprise products affected by COVID-19.
A Lotte Homeshopping official said, "We plan to continue nurturing competitive small and individual PP content and support various win-win programs that contribute to the virtuous cycle of the broadcasting industry ecosystem."
