A Gathering for Eupmyeon Unity Held After 3 Years of COVID-19 Pandemic
An Opportunity to Foster Community Cohesion and Harmony Among Local Residents
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the town and township sports competitions, which were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held from October to November for the first time in three years since 2019.
Starting with the Gwangui-myeon Sports Competition held on October 4 at Chunguigwan, the events will be held respectively on ▲ October 5 at Toji-myeon (Bangjang-gwan area) ▲ October 11 at Gurye-eup (Seosicheon Sports Park area) ▲ October 12 at Masan-myeon (Cheongmagwan area) ▲ October 13 at Muncheok-myeon (Munilgwan area) ▲ October 14 at Ganjeon-myeon (Baegungwan area) ▲ and November 2 at Sandong-myeon (scheduled).
The news of the event being held with residents gathering together after a long time has raised expectations among the community.
County Governor Kim Sunho said, “As this event is resuming after three years overcoming the COVID-19 crisis, I hope it will be an opportunity to promote harmony and communication, and a time for residents to share the affection they have not been able to exchange, filled with laughter and health.”
