[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] The Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council is seeking public opinions ahead of the '2022 Administrative Affairs Audit' scheduled from November 2 to 15.

The administrative affairs audit is one of the core roles of local councils, aimed at identifying problems in the overall administrative affairs of the local government and correcting them.

To conduct a more efficient and productive administrative affairs audit, the Provincial Council plans to collect public opinions from the 4th until November 1 and actively reflect them in the audit.

The subjects for submission include illegal or improper matters in provincial administration and educational administration, suggestions and improvements for major projects, cases of budget waste, and other issues causing inconvenience to residents.

However, matters that infringe on personal privacy, ongoing trials or investigations, personal attacks or false defamation, anonymous reports, and other issues inappropriate for administrative affairs audit are excluded.

Opinions can be submitted via the Provincial Council website or by mail, and the received opinions will be reflected in the administrative affairs audit or used as reference materials for future legislative activities.

Chairman Kim Jin-bu said, “As this is the first administrative affairs audit conducted since the opening of the 12th Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council, we ask for the interest and participation of the residents.” He added, “We will do our best to faithfully fulfill the role of the Provincial Council as a supervisory and monitoring body over the executive branch by actively reflecting the submitted opinions in the administrative affairs audit.”
