[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] LG Electronics will participate in the 53rd Korea Electronics Show (KES 2022), held for four days starting from the 4th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, showcasing innovative products that deliver a ‘differentiated customer experience.’

Experience Smart Home at LG ThinQ House

At the entrance of the 904㎡ exhibition hall, LG Electronics featured the world’s largest 97-inch OLED TV and the LG Dios Objet Collection Moodup refrigerator, which allows door color changes. The recently launched LG Dios Objet Collection Moodup lets users select their preferred colors from 22 options for the upper compartment and 19 for the lower compartment via the LG ThinQ app and apply them to the refrigerator. Visitors can directly experience the Moodup function using the LG ThinQ app on their smartphones.

In the center of the exhibition hall, LG ThinQ House was set up to allow visitors to experience a lifestyle based on smart home technology. Visitors can enjoy convenient smart home services such as controlling Internet of Things (IoT) devices through the LG ThinQ app. After purchasing LG Electronics products, users can upgrade various new features via the LG ThinQ app, and this experience is also available for visitors to try. Visitors can experience various upgrade functions such as the ‘Nighttime Glare Prevention Function,’ which adjusts the internal lighting brightness to view the refrigerator without glare, and the ‘Post-Wash Laundry Care’ function, which periodically rotates the washing drum to prevent laundry from clumping when it cannot be removed immediately after washing.

In spaces designed like parks or campsites, visitors can experience the future autonomous driving concept car OmniPod, as well as easily installable and portable LG Room & TV, lawn mowing robots, and more.

First Domestic Exhibition of Gaming OLED TV Flex

LG Electronics is exhibiting the bendable gaming OLED TV Flex, which was first unveiled and attracted attention at IFA 2022 held last month in Berlin, Germany, for the first time in Korea. This product features a screen curvature adjustable in 20 steps. It can be used as a flat screen for general content viewing and as a curved screen for immersive gaming environments.

Visitors can enjoy games using the Flex, LG UltraGear gaming monitors, and gaming speakers in a space designed with a concept combining an arcade and a theater, or enjoy viewing experiences provided by home cinema products such as LG CineBeam and LG Soundbar.

LG Electronics also showcases premium lifestyle TVs that enhance the elegance of spaces like interior furniture, including the LG OLED Objet Collection Pose and Easel.

Visitors can encounter a variety of innovative products in each space, including ▲ beauty product lines like LG Pra.L MediHair and Intensive Multi-Care ▲ clothing and shoe care product lines like LG Styler Shoe Case and Shoe Care ▲ premium craft beer maker LG HomeBrew.

LG Electronics will also showcase various service robots, including ▲ LG CLOi ServeBot 2 types (drawer type/shelf type) that autonomously move to destinations while carrying items ▲ LG CLOi UV-C Bot that performs contactless disinfection tasks ▲ LG CLOi GuideBot. Notably, the GuideBot welcomes visitors while moving around the exhibition hall.

Additionally, LG Electronics promotes its ESG efforts such as recycling waste electronics into new product materials and operates spaces where visitors can relax using LG Healing Me massage chairs and furniture made from cardboard.
