[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-jun, mayor of Suwon, urged public officials to "promote projects and policies that citizens can feel directly."
At the recent '2023 Major Tasks 1st Report Meeting' held in the city hall's mid-sized conference room, after receiving reports on next year's major tasks from each department, bureau, and business office, Mayor Lee emphasized, "It is essential to clearly determine where to focus when promoting next year's projects" and "You must be able to specifically explain how the projects promoted by Suwon City will benefit the citizens."
He added, "For example, the core of next year's welfare policy is the 'Suwon-type Village-level Integrated Care Project,'" and "You must establish work plans that support the core policies and actively promote them."
At this task report meeting, nine departments and bureaus including the Planning and Coordination Office, Urban Policy Office, Economic Policy Bureau, and Environment Bureau, as well as nine directly affiliated institutions and business offices, reported on their major tasks for next year.
Mayor Lee Jae-jun, First Deputy Mayor Jo Cheong-sik, Second Deputy Mayor Hwang In-guk, heads of each department and bureau, and business office directors attended.
Suwon City will hold the final task report meeting at the end of this month.
