[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the 2nd, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will attend the opera "The Magic Flute" held at the grassy yard of Hangang Nodeul Island, deliver a greeting, and watch the performance together with citizens visiting Nodeul Island.

This Hangang Nodeul Island Opera "The Magic Flute" is one of the autumn festivals of Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture's integrated festival brand 'Art Festival_Seoul'. It is the first outdoor opera performance produced since the foundation of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture to expand opportunities for citizens to enjoy culture in daily life by presenting classical opera works, which are usually difficult to access, for free in an outdoor space rather than a theater.

The Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture has announced the integrated festival brand 'Art Festival_Seoul' with the slogan "Seoul, where everyday life becomes a festival through art" to increase citizens' accessibility throughout the four seasons by combining ongoing and new festivals into one and to be remembered as a representative festival of Seoul. Before full-scale operation next year, this year it will be held as the autumn-winter festival of 'Art Festival_Seoul'.

Mayor Oh expressed hope that this Hangang Nodeul Island Opera "The Magic Flute" will be a gift-like time for citizens whose opportunities to enjoy culture have decreased due to COVID-19, and delivered a greeting that he will create an "Emotional Cultural City Seoul" where anyone can enjoy culture and arts in daily life.

Meanwhile, Seoul City announced that it will hold the "Seoul Music Festival," featuring music performances with different atmospheres every day and various side events against the beautiful sunset scenery of Nodeul Island, from the 13th to the 16th.
