Gyeongbuk Office of Education Takes Steps to Strengthen Student Counseling Expertise!

Gyeongbuk Office of Education has taken steps to strengthen support for enhancing student counseling expertise to prevent academic discontinuation and improve the quality of counseling services.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gui-yeol] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education held a training session on the 29th at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education Training Center for 300 participants, including professional counselors and teachers, to prevent school dropout and enhance the quality of counseling work.

This training was organized to strengthen the expertise of professional counselors (itinerant teachers), professional counselors, social workers, and clinical psychologists in the southern and western regions, focusing on content that can assist counseling activities in schools.

The main topics included conceptualizing counseling cases, guidance on the school dropout reflection system manual, music therapy for children and adolescents, and sharing counseling cases. The program was designed diversely to meet field needs, improve the quality of counseling work, and enhance work cohesion.

Through raising awareness of counseling case conceptualization and guidance on the school dropout reflection system manual, the training aimed to improve understanding of procedures, learn methods of music therapy for children and adolescents, and provide time for questions and answers to foster communication and empathy among professional counselors.
