Relocation of Headquarters to Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu After 10 Years Since Establishing Corporation in Apgujeong-dong
Operating Musinsa Campus, Musinsa Terrace, Musinsa Studio, Soldout, Aznisum, and Other Musinsa Spaces
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Online fashion platform Musinsa announced on the 30th that it has relocated its headquarters to ‘Musinsa Campus N1’ in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. This move comes 10 years after establishing the corporation in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in 2012.
Musinsa selected Seongsu-dong, where long-standing regional characteristics coexist with the latest trends, as its new headquarters location. The unique regional charm of Seongsu-dong, a space where the past, present, and future exist together, is expected to positively contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of the new fashion culture that Musinsa will create.
In particular, the increase in showrooms and pop-up stores operated by fashion brands centered around Seoul Forest in recent years, along with the complex combination of various cultures creating new synergies, played a significant role. Considering the regional characteristics, it is also expected to have a positive impact on the work environment, including employee motivation and trend awareness.
The newly relocated Musinsa headquarters is situated at Musinsa Campus N1, a 6-minute walk from Seongsu Station on Line 2. It features a concept that reflects Musinsa’s working style, allowing quick and flexible switching between Focus, Communication, and Refresh modes. The office space occupies floors 3 through 10, while the 2nd floor is used for meeting rooms and lounges.
On the first floor of the Musinsa Campus N1 building, the ‘ASNISUM’ caf?, reflecting Musinsa’s identity, has opened. ASNISUM is a reversed spelling of MUSINSA and represents a new virtual world that Musinsa will introduce. The caf? plans to continue collaborative projects with various local brands operating mainly in Seongsu-dong, such as Seoul Parrot, Overdose Donuts & Coffee, and Friday Bakery.
Currently, Musinsa operates Musinsa Campus N1, where its headquarters are located, as well as Musinsa Studio Seongsu and Musinsa Terrace Seongsu in Seongsu-dong. Additionally, the subsidiary SLDT runs the limited-edition market ‘Soldout’s Showroom,’ and recently, Musinsa Trading opened a select shop called ‘Empty’ near Seongsu Station.
A Musinsa representative stated, “Musinsa will establish itself as a fashion company symbolizing Seongsu-dong based on cultural activities encompassing youth, fashion, and trends. In particular, we will create opportunities to coexist with the Seongsu-dong community by carrying out distinctive local projects that only Musinsa can undertake.”
