On the 29th, according to Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch (Branch Manager Jeon Il-ho), the Charlotte Volunteer Group held a plogging event to clean up the area around Gwangju Stream starting at 11 a.m.
As part of Lotte Department Store's eco-friendly campaign ‘Re:Earth’ project, the event involved collecting trash around Gwangju Stream, a precious resting place for citizens, and removing harmful plants.
Earlier, Lotte Outlet Namaak Branch (Branch Manager Kim Kwang-hee) conducted a love-sharing activity to support housing environment improvement for underprivileged groups in the area.
This volunteer activity was the second session following the one in August, conducted as part of the ‘Housing Environment Improvement Project’ with the Namaak Branch Charlotte Volunteer Group and employees of the Muan County Fire Station, delivering essential daily necessities and carrying out housing environment maintenance for families in need.
Jeon Il-ho, Branch Manager of Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch, said, “Lotte Department Store will fulfill its corporate social responsibility to contribute to the development and coexistence of the local community.”
