[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] On the 29th, Foreign Minister Park Jin stated regarding the dismissal motion against him, which was proposed by the Democratic Party of Korea and is likely to be processed in the plenary session, "I will follow the will of the appointing authority regarding my position."

Minister Park said this while meeting with reporters in front of the National Assembly plenary session hall, responding to the question, "The dismissal motion may be submitted to the plenary session. Do you have any position on this?" He replied, "I have already stated my position, and there is no change in that position."


Minister Park added, "I am on my way to Yongsan (Presidential Office) to attend an event related to U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris," as he moved on.


Earlier, on the 27th, before attending the National Assembly plenary session, Minister Park told reporters regarding the Democratic Party's adoption and submission of the dismissal motion as a party resolution, "Diplomacy is the last line of defense to protect national interests," expressing his regret.
